Technical Support Specialist

Job Location: Boston

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate experienced in and committed to the field of Technical Support. The candidate should be a team player with strong communication skills, experience in providing customer support and strong technical skills in the Microsoft platform including SQL Server, Visual Basic, and ASP. Aptitude to troubleshoot issues, identify workarounds and solutions, as well as juggle several tasks at a time is required.

The position includes, but is not limited to, troubleshooting remotely and possibly onsite at client locations and providing clients with directions and assistance for their product related issues. This position is located in our Boston office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 2 years providing customer technical support
  • Experience with MS SQL Server is essential

Additional Requirements

  • MCP, MCSE or other certification is a plus.

Technical Sales Support Specialist

Job Location: Boston

Position Overview

We are looking for a technical sales support specialist with strong technical skills, good communications skills and high energy. The technical sales support specialist should have worked extensively with Microsoft technologies with strong experience in web based applications and reporting tools. The incumbent will be part of a dynamic technical team but with exclusive focus on sales and client acquisition. Ideal candidates will have the ability to quickly grasp product functionality, consult with and present to customers, help prepare product demonstrations, identify requirements, conceptualize technically feasible solutions and present/document technical information in easily understood terms.

Responsibilities include:

  • Communicating directly with the customer to understand their detailed requirements
  • Assisting the sales team in product and service demonstrations to prospective clients
  • Contributing ideas and improvements to enhance the product offering
  • Acting as a technical liaison between customers and the Development team to prioritize and resolve technical issues in a hands-on fashion.
  • Providing software/hardware support for sales presentations.
  • Aggregating and documenting product and service requests, feature enhancements, and any other misc. product or service information, as collected from clients and/or Sales professionals, and disseminating that information to Product Management
  • Conduct Customer feedback programs and other systems to better solicit customer feedback.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-6 years of Technical experience with proven systems/processes to deliver superior customer service.
  • Knowledge and experience in SQL Server 2005, COM/COM+, VB development, ASP, SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Hands-on technical skills with the inquisitiveness to learn the product and determine ways to improve it.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic problem-solving environment and synthesize strategy, plans, and solutions.

Intellectual Property Professional

Job Location: London

Role: Patent and Trademark process designers

Purpose Statement: Anaqua is a market leading intellectual asset management system.  As part of the system, ANAQUA contains a sophisticated rules-based workflow engine. This workflow engine models the legal and business processes of our clients. 

The people in these roles will be responsible for the on-going development of these processes, incorporating industry best practice into the workflows for both law firms and corporations.   In the role, you will have client contact and should be able to develop strong internal and external relationships.

Dimensions: The role will be

  • to advise on changes to the workflows in ANAQUA, arising either from a change in regulatory requirements or developments in best practice.
  • to change the workflows in ANAQUA to incorporate the changes.
  • to work with clients advising them on how to gain maximum advantage from automating custom business processes using the workflow engine.
  • to train internal and external staff on how the workflow engine functions and can be used to best advantage.
  • to extend the workflows into best practice for agreements and conflicts / litigation.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an international Intellectual Property department.
  • Good general knowledge of IP laws and procedures for both patents and trademarks in different countries around the world.
  • Some contract management experience.
  • Good computer literacy and understanding of IP databases (in terms of usage).
  • Training ability/experience.

Personal Qualities: The role requires a rare combination of skills, someone with initiative, strong client facing and advisory skills yet with an attention to detail and an ability to carry out complex and repetitive tasks to a very high degree of accuracy.

As Anaqua expands its Law Engine knowledge base and centre of excellence, the ideal candidate for these roles will be able to leverage their knowledge of the Law Engine to apply it in novel ways to solve difficult business problems. This requires imagination as well as legal and technical competence.

Education and Training: The ideal candidate would be a patent or trademark professional with a wide range of experience managing trademark and patent prosecution for international portfolios.
