Community Service

Anaqua and its employees generously donate time and money to various causes that share Anaqua’s core values of community and innovation. Two such organizations are FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) and Judge Baker Children’s Center.

“Anaqua is concerned with community at all levels. As we strive to foster innovation and best practices within Anaqua and the Anaqua Intellectual Property Community of IP leaders, we feel it is just as important to take that out to the broader community”.

Paul DiGiammarino, CEO

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a multinational, non-profit organization that aspires to transform culture, making science, math, engineering, and technology as cool for kids as sports are today. FIRST was founded in 1989 by Dean Kamen, inventor of the Segway Human Transporter. FIRST operates the FIRST Robotics Competition in which teams of high school students, sponsored and assisted by local companies and volunteers, design, assemble, and test a robot capable of performing a specified task in competition with other teams. FIRST also runs the FIRST LEGO League, for children 9-14 years old, and FIRST Place, an innovative science and technology center, including a hands-on children's science museum.

Judge Baker Children's Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children whose emotional and behavioral problems threaten to limit their potential. The Center strives to provide services of the highest standard, to search for new knowledge, to teach, and to apply and disseminate knowledge. The center provides intervention and research devoted to serving children and adolescents at-risk for persistent academic and social failure because of emotional, learning and behavioral problems and associated conditions. Ed Mullen, Chairman of Anaqua is the First Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for Judge Baker Children's Center.
